Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pull & Plunder (com.ruicodex.pullplunder), published by RuiCodex, handles data. In short: the game has no account and keeps your progress on your device. The only outside services are Google's, for ads and for purchases.
Data stored on your device
Pull & Plunder saves the following only on your phone or tablet, in the app's private storage:
- your progress: caves cleared, stars, doubloons, island chests, bosses beaten, Hoard Cove buildings, Cave Journal pages, Cursed Cave seals, Storm Night figures, outfits and crew mates;
- your settings: sound, music, vibration, screen shake, hints and language;
- the purchases you own (so the game knows what is yours);
- ad counters (for example when the last ad was shown), so the game can keep to its ad limits;
- a local log of gameplay events (for example a cave started, cleared or failed, with its stars), used only on the device;
- the messages you write in the game (the last 50).
None of this is sent to us. The game has no account and never asks for your name, e-mail address, contacts, photos or location.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Pull & Plunder shows two kinds of ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob): occasional full-screen (interstitial) ads between caves, and an optional reward video you may choose to watch when a cave has beaten you three times, either for a Ghost Flow preview or to skip that cave (up to 2 skips a day). Interstitial ads never appear in your first 20 caves, in your first session or while you play a cave, and Remove Ads switches them off for good. There are no banner ads. When an ad is requested or shown, Google processes your device's advertising identifier (Android advertising ID or iOS IDFA), an approximate location derived from your IP address, device and operating-system information, and your interaction with the ad, together with diagnostic data. Google uses this data for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you; we see aggregated reports only.
Consent and your choices
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is shown before ads are personalised. You may refuse personalised ads; ads are then non-personalised. Where this applies, you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices.
- On iOS the game asks for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, your IDFA is not used.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Google > Ads or Privacy > Ads).
You can read how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
Purchases
Remove Ads, crew mates, outfits and cove themes are one-time purchases processed by Google Play (or Apple's App Store on iOS). We never receive your payment details. The game only stores which items you own; Settings > Restore purchases asks the store again.
Feedback
When you send a Message in a Bottle (Settings), the game opens your own e-mail app with a message to info@ruicodex.com. It contains the text you wrote, the category you picked and, to help us fix problems, the game version, platform and OS version, the game language, your current island and cave, your stars and wins, and the names of your last 20 gameplay events. Nothing is sent unless you send that e-mail yourself. We receive your e-mail address as the sender and use it only to reply.
Ratings
If the game shows a rating request, it is the store's own review window. The game stores no review data and never rewards a rating.
Keeping and deleting data
Data on your device stays until you uninstall the game or clear its data in your device settings; your purchases can then be restored. Settings > Reset progress erases your caves, stars and cove at any time (your purchases stay yours). Feedback e-mails are kept only as long as needed to handle them and are deleted on request. We do not sell personal data. Data exchanged with Google's services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Children
Pull & Plunder is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the Turkish KVKK and similar laws you may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, or object to its processing. Because the game keeps your data on your device, most requests are answered by the steps above; for anything else write to info@ruicodex.com. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
